This action signifies a significant shift in the political landscape of Kano State, occurring merely two years prior to the upcoming general elections.
Honorable Jibrin proclaimed his decision on Sunday in his native Kofa, situated in the Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State. He was met with a large crowd of supporters, local residents, and religious leaders. A notable presence consisted of around 2,000 Islamic scholars who gathered to pray for his political shift and for the success of President Tinubu's government. Their prayers also extended to invoke peace and progress for the Kiru/Bebeji constituency, Kano State, and the entire nation.
While speaking to the audience, the lawmaker confirmed that he had officially severed ties with the NNPP and its associated Kwankwasiyya Movement, led by the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. He expressed that the unanimous choice of his constituents was to return to the APC and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for another term. He described his reentry into the ruling party as a return to a place that resonates with the desires of his supporters.
