Hilda Baci Lands New Guinness World Records Title

Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has officially secured her third Guinness World Records title, a surprise designation awarded after a review of her massive 2025 cooking event revealed an additional record-breaking achievement.

The culinary star, who originally aimed to set the benchmark for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice during a September 12, 2025, event in Victoria Island, Lagos, has now been recognized for simultaneously achieving the world’s largest serving of rice overall. Working in collaboration with food brand Gino, Baci and her team prepared a staggering 8,780 kilograms of rice, a quantity that not only secured the specific jollof title but also surpassed the threshold for the general rice category.

This proactive award was communicated to the chef in January 2026, marking an unexpected expansion of her global accolades. This latest triumph adds to an impressive portfolio that includes her 2023 record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, a 93-hour feat that initially launched her into international prominence.
